I have been teaching the preschool program in East Brunswick since its
conception in 1978. This is my second year at Lawrence Brook School. I have
also taught at Irwin, Smith(which is now part of Churchill),and Warnsdorfer.
My mission is for the children to develop and progress in all developmental
areas to the best of their abilty. Areas include: cognition at the
prereadiness and readiness level, language development, fine and gross motor
skills, self help skills, and social emotional development which includes
play skills.
In the preschool years, it is important to spend time reading with your
children. Encourage them to read by talking about what is in the picture.
Please encourage language/vocalizations to be used for communication at all
times. "Use your words" is heard in the classroom frequently.
