Read "just right" books only. If a book is not interesting, stop reading it and find a better book. The classroom, school and public libraries are filled with great books.
Reading logs will be collected every Friday. They MUST be handed in on time. I allow them to be handed in one day late before I deduct late points.
A calendar was given out listing dates that reader's response and book summaries will be due. Make sure that this calendar is kept in a safe place and always referred to.
We are almost done with character study in fiction books. Look for biography books which will be sent home the week of November 16.
While we read biography books, there will be an in class reading project to be completed. I will be sending letter home next week with further explanation.
