Every week, your child will be given a list of new spelling words. Every week in school, we will be sorting these words according to various rules.
On Monday night, your child must write his/her initial on the back of each word. Words in bold must be highlighted. All words must be cut out and either paper clipped together or placed in the plastic bag given out in school. Then the words are to be left in the envelope in the back of the words their way notebooks.
On Wednesday night, sentences will be written using any 10 words. These sentences are to be written on looseleaf paper only. I am looking for descriptive sentences.
On Thursday night, words are written 3 times each. (once in cursive, twice in print) This must be done on looseleaf paper only.
A spelling quiz will be given on Friday.
