I hope everyone has had a wonderful spring break and comes back full of energy
for all the exciting events to come in the next two months.  First, let me
congratulate all the 4th graders who played beautifully in our 1st and 2nd
grade classroom concerts in March.  Their audiences were very appreciative and
they answered questions about what it is like to learn a string instrument
with eloquence. I was very proud of them, and they've caught the "performance
bug" quickly, so I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing them in our spring concerts.

Fifth graders completed their second assessment just before the break, showing
the new skills they've learned and completing the performance experience for
their classmates.

Our first big concert event is the District Orchestra concert on Wed., April
18, 7:00 PM at the EBPAC at Hammarskjold School.  It's been a great season of
rehearsals and I know the students are excited about this concert.

Spring concerts occur in May:
May 14, 7:00 PM at Lawrence Brook School
May 16, 7:00 PM at Warnsdorfer School
May 22, 7:00 PM at Chittick School

It is important in these weeks leading up to the spring concerts, that you
encourage your child to make time for regular practice.  You always feel more
comfortable onstage when you're well-practiced.
