Mrs. Van Es has worked in Rutherford Public Schools for over twenty-five
years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Felician College, earned
her Master of Early Childhood Degree at Jersey City State College, and has
completed post Graduate work at Rutgers University.
Mrs. VanEs has always loved children, and she enjoys reading. Reading to her
children and grandchildren was an important factor in her decision to become
a Media Specialist. She can now share her enthusiasm and enjoyment of
reading with the students of Lincoln and Washington Schools.
The mission of the Lincoln School Library Media Center is guide students to
become life long readers and seekers of knowledge. Opportunities are
offered that correlate with the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards and the
National Literacy Standards. Children are encouraged to explore their
personal interests when they choose books from the library. Collaboration
between Mrs.Van Es and the classroom teachers allow for enhanced learning
experiences for all students.
