Monday, December 14, 2009 We began the day by writing the 3 times table four times as practice to get the times tables in our heads. We also finished filling out our December calendars. After Media Center, the class identified verbs in sentences, and then determined if each verb was an action verb or a linking verb. After that, Mrs. Tordik and Mrs. Carey read and discussed chapters 19 - 21 of "Charlotte's Web" to the class. During 5th period, the class wrote paragraphs explaning how the Lenni Lenape built their longhouses. After lunch, the students first did Mad Minute Math (MMM), and then solved word problems using the "Make a Table" strategy. And, during 8th period, most of the class had choir practice.
