Homework for the week of December 9, 2013
20 minutes a night
The 20 minutes can be from a novel or a magazine
that your child enjoys reading.
Some examples: Discovery, Highlights, Time for
Kids, or Sports Illustrated for Kids.
The log is
due on Friday or Monday morning with Parent Signature.
Use the 20 Questions page given out in September to
help you get ideas. The children should also use the pages given out in
November during conferences.
Students have a new menu for marking period 2. They
must complete one activity from each of the four menu headings; Appetizer,
Entrees, Side Dishes, and Desserts. Each day one activity must be handed in
and on Friday your final activity must be stapled to the menu and all four
activities completed for the week are circled.
Spelling tests are on Friday!

Extra Help Day!
I will be available for extra help on Wednesday afternoons or mornings. I will
be alternating mornings and afternoons to accomodate individual schedules. If
I feel that your child needs to stay for a particular subject or topic I will
send home a request form for you to sign. If you would like to request extra
help, please call, email, or write me and I will send home a permission slip
with the scheduled Wednesday on the form. Thank you!

support. These are the nightly assignments. Please remember to check your
child's agenda each night for the homework. At times, homework will be
modified to reinforce the daily lessons. I have explained to the children that
they are responsible for writing down their homework and knowing what is due
