Thursday - P.E.

How long should my child read each night?
I recommend reading for at least 20 - 30 minutes each night.
Begin by having your child read to you for 10 - 15 minutes and then finish by
reading to your child for 20 - 30 minutes. ENJOY READING!!
What time does school begin each day?
The first bell rings at 8:50 each morning. It is important for your child to
enter at this time so that he/she has enough time to get ready for the day.
Each morning, your child is responsible to empty their backpack, put their
homework on their desk, hang up their coat, fill out the lunch chart, and
sharpen their pencils. When your child arrives late to school, they miss the
opportunity to complete these activities. Thank you for understanding and
making every effort to have them arrive on time.
What should my child bring to school each day?
Your child should bring their backpack, homework, snack, lunch, and their
homework folder.
Children should remember to wear their sneakers to participate in P.E.
Physical Education is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Will my child be able to buy lunch at school?
Buying lunch is an exciting part of first grade. Please discuss with your
child ahead of time when they will be buying lunch and what appropriate
choices would be. Lunch menus will be sent home at the beginning of each
month. If your child is carrying lunch or snack money please remind them to
keep it in a safe spot until it is time for lunch.
