What are the criteria for Safety Patrol?

What can I do if I'm not on Safety Patrol?
This year Mr. Royce will be re-opening the Manito School Store and will need 5th Grade volunteers
who are not on Safety Patrol to help run it. In addition, there are members of 5th Grade who are
elected to the Manito Cabinet. And, 5th Graders serve as our mailmen for Manito Mail delivery twice
What are 5th grade field trips for the year?
We will be going to the Buehler Science Center on the campus of Bergen
Community College to conduct a simulation of a Space Shuttle Mission. The
trip is scheduled for a tentative date in February.
5th Graders are involved in a program entitled, D.A.R.E., which is a drug
awareness program sponsored and taught by the Oakland Police Department. At
the end of D.A.R.E., students are treated to a trip to the Ringling Bros.,
Barnum, & Bailey Circus at the Meadowlands. The trip will be scheduled for
the end of March or early April.
