| All students should read books on their level for at least twenty minutes a
day. This should be accompanied by a discussion about the book when possible.
Here are a few questions that may lead your discussion:
Who were the characters?
Did any characters remind you of yourself or someone you know? WHY?
Would you like to meet any of the characters in this book? Who? Why?
What was the most surprising part of the book? WHY?
What did the story remind you of?
What was the problem in the story? How do you know?
How would you deal with this problem?
What was your favorite part of the book? WHY?
What was your least favorite part of the book? WHY?
Would you recommend this book to others? What would you tell them?
Did the book remind you of other books you have read?
Did the main character remind you of any other character?
Do you think the author is trying to tell you anything? If yes, what?
