Reading Responses - Letter to Mrs. Merski The next response will be due the week of November 16, 2009. (There will be a schedule for the students to turn in their notebooks.) Some requirements are: 1st paragraph - Summary of the book. 2nd paragraph - Did the author keep you interested? How or why? 3rd paragraph - How can you picture what was happening when there are no illustrations? give example. Remember to indent paragraphs and use correct spelling and punctuation, and letter form. Responses will be graded using a 6 point rubric. Students should be reading 20 minutes each night. Social Studies students will be busy researching Lenape Indians, the Native Americans who settled in New Jersey. All research will be completed in school and students will be working in groups. Each group will prepare an oral presentation, on their topic,to classmates. We are fortunate to complete our study with a visit from a Lenape expert. He will be here on Friday, November 13, 2009.
