Each night, Monday through Thursday, your child will receive one Language
Arts and one Math homework assignment. There will also be sight words sent
home in a plastic bag that your child needs to practice. In addition, your
child should be reading for at least 10 minutes per night.
It is also important to practice counting by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s. This will
be an important skill for telling time, measuring, and counting coins! If
your child has already mastered these counting skills it would be great to
begin practicing the addition facts from 0 + 0 through 9 + 9. Flashcards are
very useful for this. I also have links to some games on my website.
REMINDER: Your child's first and last names should be printed on all
assignments.
