Ice Cream Social – big success. Thanks to Chris Levine and Donna Goldberg and all the volunteers, the Fire Fighters, and special thanks to Austin Kosick who is in charge of emergency management for East Brunswick. The Book Fair at the Social was great with the proceeds going to the Fifth Grade Celebration. Vicki Chaney stated that the 5th grade committee will find out the amount of the proceeds in February after the next book fair.
Mill Road BBQ – big success and thanked the owners for doing it for us. An idea was brought up for gift to school – a portable music speakers which a parent had at the BBQ. It could help with many functions the school has.

We still need people to head the Teacher’s grant and Gift to School Committees and many more.
Nets Game - Loren Morace reported about a Nets family night. Tickets would be $15 which is ˝ price. Need to sell 100 tickets. At half time kids could go on court and meet the players. 10 kids can go on the court and sing the National Anthem.
Thanksgiving basket - We adopt a family and make a basket for them. A sign up sheet was sent around.
Clothes for kids - coming up
Treasurer’s Report:
Diane McSwieney stated that there is $7,534 in checking account and $8.494 in savings for a total of $16,028.
Market Day: Lee Rosenthal reported that she needs volunteers to keep this going. A discussion ensued about whether the proceeds would be going to the 5th grade. A decision was made that Mission Memorial would sell pizza and cookie dough and the 5th grade would get the proceeds of Market Day. If the 5th grade has extra money then they would give that back to the PTA and not overspend.
Next meeting is November 17th.
Motion to adjourn meeting: made by Grace Murnane.
Seconded by: Debbie LeSeur
