AP History

Welcome to the World of AP History. This course is an intense study to

prepare you for the AP Exam in May, as well as to prepare you to think

critically about the world around you.  It is important for you to be

organized; to keep current with reading assignments and keep organized notes.

Please refer to your student handbook for the policy regarding grading. Make

special note of the absence policy. Remember, plagiarism is simply a fancy

word for copying. This means copying someone else's work and handing it in

as your own. This includes copying someone's homework or class work as well

as the more formal print or internet sources. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY IS

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

We will begin each chapter with discussion questions so make sure you have

read all assignments.  Multiple choice questions will be given for each

chapter to help you organize the facts and events of history. Essay and DBQ

tests will be given as well as practice AP questions to prepare for the

exam. We will also discuss outside print materials that have proved helpful

in the past. You are required to fill out the outside reading forms for each

article that will be provided for you.

I believe this will be a challenging and successful year for all of us. GOOD

Luck!!!
