Ms. Dooley joined the Mount staff in September of 1996. She has a Master's
in Music and has completed her doctoral studies and final examinations in
Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University. As a lyric soprano, she
has performed with regional opera companies in the United States and in
Europe.
Her vocal major professors for her doctoral studies were Ms. Martina Arroyo
(Metropolitan Opera) and Mr. Robert Grayson (New York City Opera). Her
Master's studies in Musicology were with Dr. Jan Herlinger and Choral
Conducting with Dr. Kenneth Fulton.
Ms. Dooley teaches US History II, Theatre History and Film Studies as well
as the faculty moderator for vocal music aspects of Performing Arts at the
Mount. She also directs the four MSDA choirs: 4Now, Concert Choir, Belles
Voix and Blue Note.
