AP Studio Art 2D Design...this is the list of ongoing homework pieces .....you may work on them either at home or during class if you choose. Vary your media. You have until the end of MARKING PERIOD ONE to complete these homework assignments. Please email me or see me directly with any questions. 1. Self-portrait. Arrange interesting side lighting and be sure to add a background or setting (no floating heads). Make use of dramatic lighting, maybe even a flashlight held from below. 2. Set up a still life with a srong light source, near a window or with a flashlight. Try eggs on torn or crumpled paper, tin cans or glass jars, fruit on drapery, or raid the refrigerator. Again, be sure to compose the entire page. 3. Magnify a Metallic Object. Zero in on a section of a metallic object, such as a close-up of part of a bike or motorcycle, or spoons, or an eggbeater. Make use of hard-edge metal reflections. and cast shadows. 4. Landscape. Do a drawing on location- the beach, thepark, looking down your street, your backyard, or a study of part of a tree form. Suggested media: do not do ALL the works in pencil. If you use pencil in some..think about different values from light to dark and be dramatic. Try black ballpoint pen., crosshatched, or try colored pencils, charcoal pnecil, pastel, markers, mix them in on piece for mexed media effect..Remember to use the entire page!
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
