Student supplies for AP Bio:
- a computer with high speed internet access
- a ream of paper and an ink cartridge to print out assignments and powerpoint presentations.
- two folders – simple or pretty – to carry the chapter that we are working on to class every day.
- A 3-ring binder or some other storage container to store the chapter notes/powerpoint printouts/study guide questions/laboratory and other worksheets for the chapters you have finished and been tested on .
- PLEASE DO NOT ACCUMULATE YOUR APBIO PAPERS IN A BINDER AND CARRY IT AROUND SCHOOL – It is just plain silly to do so ... and not good for your back.

We have access to a remarkable website that is linked to your text. It is named ARIS. This website tracks your visits, grades your work, and has some of the best animations available to biology students. You will be assigned work on ARIS – and it will be available for a specified time only. I will always give you several days to complete the assignment – just in case you have computer issues. If you wait until the last day to complete the ARIS assignment and you have computer issues – then your work will not be accepted.
You must register at your textbook website:

- Under “Join a Course” - Enter the course # F46-CE-866 and click “Next”
- Student Registration: You MUST use your MSDA account email to register. Our school’s name will not be listed in the dropdown menu, so you will have to click the “My school is not listed” link, and type the name of the school into the field.
- Click “Complete My Registration”

Read Chapter 3 46 – 55. Complete the rest of the study guide. This time you will be answering the questions for “Exercising Your Knowledge”. [These are short answer questions. The small space that’s given for your answer forces you to focus on the question asked. In AP Bio you must learn to answer only the question asked – you will lose credit for “spilling” the contents of your brain onto the page – in hopes that some part of it is the answer. So these “Exercising…” questions are a good and necessary exercise.]
Multiple choice due on Monday in L-1 before 8:00 am.
