Mrs. Jachens has been teaching at the Mount since 2004. She received her
Bachelor's and Master's degrees in French from Rutgers University and has
also studied at The Sorbonne, Paris.
Mrs. Jachens holds NJ State Teaching Certifications in French (grades K-12)
and in Elementary Education (grades K-8). Her teaching experience includes
elementary school through high school, college, and adult school. She has
also worked as a corporate translator and interpreter.
Mrs. Jachens is the moderator of the National French Honor Society (Société
Honoraire de Français) and faculty advisor for the French Club. She is
passionate about all things French and hopes to instill the same enthusiasm
in her students.
