What is the drink Vault?
Vault is a citrus energy drink from Coca-Cola. A 12oz serving has 70.5mg of
caffeine. A 12oz bottle of cola has 45.5mg of caffeine. The FDA limit is
65mg per 12ounces of a beverage.
Vault causes anxiety, heart palpitations, increased heart rate, irritability,
stomach complaints and difficulty sleeping. It effects the Central Nervous
System, Cardiac Muscle and Respiratory System.
Which foods are good for the immune system?
Green leafy vetables, beans/lumens, fish, chicken, blueberries,
strawberries, cranberries and blackberries.
What is the best thing to wear on a cold day?
Besides a good warm coat and layers of clothing, always wear a hat, with
gloves and a scarf. Make sure you keep your head/ears warm.
Best cure for a cold?
A nice bowl of chicken soup.
Can eating certain foods, fight the Flu?
Oranges, yogurt, potatoes, whole wheat pasta, cashews, brussel sprouts and
pork are known as Flu fighters.
What is the required amount of sleep for a teenager?
A teenager needs 6 to 8 hours of sleep to have 10 cycles of rem or deep
sleep; to be well rested for the next day.
How can I decrease my cramps, without taking Tylenol or Advil?
Peppermint decreases the spasms that cause the cramping.
Which lotion decreases stress?
Lavender is soothing and calming.
What are trans fats?
Trans fats are foods that have artifically made fats. They have more
hydrogen than regular fats. It is the hydrogen which binds the plaque to the
artery walls. This is why the trans fats are a poor source of food intake.
The FDA mandated in 2006 that all food processing companies indicate or label
on all fat source products, the amount of trans fats, if any.
On days that I have a bad headache, how often can I take Advil?
You may take 1 or 2 tablets of Advil every 4 to 6 hours for relief. It is
recommended you do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.
Can I take Aspirin or Tylenol if it is outdated?
You can not take Aspirin or Tylenol if they are outdated. They are very
toxic past the experation date.
Does seafood have the same type of mercury as a thermometer?
No, there are different forms of mercury. Thermometers have elemental
mercury. Mercury found in the ocean or freshwater consumed by fish is a
carbon based compound or "organic compound". Methylmercury is found in
seafood.
What is a resistant staph infection?
MRSA is a staph infection that is resistant to antibiotics.
What is the mode of transmission for MRSA?
The mode of transmission can be direct contact with(open cuts, nicks, and
skin abrasions)or indirect contact (contminated surfaces - cell phones, gym
equipement, towels, water bottles, door knobs and or tables.
How do you decrease the risk of MRSA?
Eveyone should cover all cuts, scrapes and abrasions with a secure bandage
until healed. It is important not to take any rash, abrasion, rug burn or
open wound casually.
Individuals should NOT share sports equipment, personal items, towels and
water bottles. Take a shower after your workout. Wash your hands
frequently. Wash bedding, towels and clothing in hot water, dry in a dryer.
What can I do to avoid the flu?
The single best way to prevent seasonal flu is to get vaccinated each year,
but good health habits like covering your cough and washing your hands often
can help prevent respiratory illnesses like the flu. There also are flu
antiviral drugs that can be used to treat and prevent the flu.
Avoid close contact.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your
distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.
Stay home when you are sick.
If possible, stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick. You
will help prevent others from catching your illness.
Cover your mouth and nose.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may
prevent those around you from getting sick.
Clean your hands.
Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated
with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
Practice other good health habits.
Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty
of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
What is the best source of exercise?
WALKING. Walking 20 minutes a day or 50 minutes three times a week is great
to increase your energy, decrease stress, obtain a good nights sleep and
maintain a healthy heart.
