Espanol III Honores (2)

          
                 ¡Bienvenidas a la clase de Español!!!

 

 

Class Expectations:

 

  1. Attendance, class participation and completion of assignments are essential.
  2. If you are absent, you are responsible for all missed work; this includes class work, homework, test, quizzes, and projects. In order to obtain credit for what you missed, it must be completed by the next time the class meets.
  3. Class participation is extremely important, learning a language requires hands on work and a lot of repetition. Dont worry about making mistakes!
  4. Practice your Spanish at least 15 to 20 minutes every day (even if no homework has been assigned). The more you practice the more comfortable you get and the more you learn.
  5. All assignments are due the next time the class meets; unless otherwise indicated. Homework must be shown or handed in , if required, at the beginning of each class in order to receive credit for it.

 

Grading:

 

You will be graded on all your homework, quizzes, projects and class participation. Everything counts, because in order to learn a language all aspects are important.

 

 

Assignments:

 

All assignments are posted daily on the Teacher Web.

 

If you are having problems or difficulties, I will be more than happy to help you. Make an appointment with me, and we can meet before or after school, or even during the day at a mutual convenient time.

09/15/2009 - Textbook - Read pp. 174, 175. Also research about Puerto Rico (geography, culture,
                     people...), and be prepared for a class discussion (in Spanish). (10pts).
                   - Due 09/17 - Write vocab. pg. 199 in the textbook , three times by hand.
                   - Due Friday (09/18) - Write a paragraph (in Spanish) answering

                    - Summer Reading: Tú eres Annie o Jack; describe lo que pasó, lo que viste  y lo que
                      hiciste.
                      (No more than a couple of paragraphs) Due Friday, 09/25 - Be ready to discuss the
                       book in class (in Spanish). (30 pts)

                    - Textbook pg. 187 ex. 7.
                    - If you started your "Cuento" project, bring it to the next class - you will have time to work on it.

                      on pg. 195 - Be ready to use it in conversation.
