The Theme Skills Tests are made up of subtests
covering phonics/decoding, high-frequency words, comprehension, spelling,
vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills. Theme Skills Tests assess the
children's understanding of discrete reading and language skills taught in
each theme of Houghton Mifflin Reading. These tests help to evaluate the
understanding of skills and I can use the results to customize future
instruction to meet the needs of each child...
