Chapter 10 (not in order)
1. We choose to follow the commandments.
2. Jesus told us that God always loves us and is ready to forgive us.
3. A mortal sin is a sin that breaks our friendship with God.
4. A venial sin is a sin that hurts hour friendship with God.
5. Mercy is another word for God's love and forgiveness.
6. Free wills God's gift to us that allows us to make choices.
7. Sin is any thought, word or act that we freely choose to commit even though we know that it is wrong.
Chapter 11 (not in order)
1. The Sign of the Cross is a prayer of joy.
2. Sin seperates us from God and one another.
3. Conscience helps us to know what is right and what is wrong.
4. We receive and celebrate God's forgivenss in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
5. Reconciliation is a sacrament of forgiveness.
6. A conscience is a gift that God has given to each of us.
7. Reconciliation means coming back together again.
8. Contrition means having sorrow.
Chapter 12 (not in order)
1. Penance is a prayer or kind act that we do to make up for our sins.
2. Absolution is the forgiveness of our sins by the priest in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
3. Confession is telling our sins in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
4. Contrition is being sorry for our sins and promising not to sin again.
5. Our paris community sometimes gathers to celebrate in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
6. In the sacrament of Reconciliation we go alone to tell our sins to the priest.
