My name is Mrs. Fiore and this is my third year teaching at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel. I have been working in various classroom settings over the past
seven years including several long term substitute positions. I hold
certifications in Elementary Education grades K-5 and Middle School Social
Studies, Grades 5-8. I am highly qualified to teach Social Studies and have
had extensive experience teaching Kindergarten.
Kindergarten is my absolute favorite grade to teach and I was so excited
when I was offered this position at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Although I
never went to OLMC myself as a student, many of my family members and
friends are OLMC alumni and so I feel I know almost first hand what a
wonderful school Mt. Carmel truly is!
I am married and have two boys and two dogs. I love teaching children how to
read, watching my sons play sports, and gardening. I love to play Scrabble
and am always looking for a great challenge!
I am a firm believer in the philosophy of "ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I
LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN" by Robert Fulghum. Kindergarten is a great place
to not only learn life skills such as reading and writing, but also simple
rules such as 'clean up your own mess' and 'don't hit people.' I have
proclaimed the 'Golden Rule' as our class motto, 'Do unto others as you
would have them do unto to you.'~ Luke 6:31
I believe that learning is and should be a life long process. I
thoroughly enjoy helping students move along the first of many stepping
stones on their journey to success.
