I attended St. Peter's Elementary School in Mt. Carmel, PA and Mt. Carmel
Catholic High School, which in my Sophomore year merged with Our Lady Of
Lourdes Regional High School in Shamokin, PA. I received my Bachelor's and
Master's Degrees from Bloomsburg State College (now known as Bloomsburg
University of Pennsylvania)in Bloomsburg, PA.
After I got married, I first called St. Francis DeSales Elementary School in
Barrington. The principal there told me Sr. Agnes was looking for a 7th
Grade teacher. When my husband heard the School was Our Lady of Mt. Carmel,
he thought it was a sign that I should come to work here and I have been here
ever since. I have been teaching at OLMC/SAA since 1980. I began as a
7th Grade homeromm teacher. I have taught Science, Social Studies, Math,
Language Arts, and Religion. I most enjoy teaching Social Studies and
Math.
My hope for the class of 2010 is that they will leave OLMC/SAA prepared
academically, spiritually, and emotionally for high school and beyond; that
they will achieve to their potential, and become faithful disciples of Jesus
and good citizens of the world.
