Hello and welcome to extra credit. No one is expected to do extra credit.
These assignments are here for those students who think their grades need
some help. Extra Credit will count as a test grade. All extra credit
assignments must be completed and turned in one week (5 days) before the end
of the marking period. These assignments are open to students in 6th, 7th,
and 8th grades.
Please read the instructions carefully so you earn the maximum number of
points.
1. Student will memorize and be able to identify all 50 states on a map.
If you select this assignment you must study and memorize the states at
home. When you feel you know them, notify me and in class I will give you a
blank map of the United States and you will write the names down in my
presence.
2. Student will memorize all the state capitals. If you select this
assisgnment you must study and memorize all the state capitals and be able to
associate them with a state. When you feel you know them, notify me and in
school I will give you a list of the 50 states and you will write the names
of the capitals next to the state name.
3. Student will memorize and be able to identify all the countries on the
continent of Europe. If you select this assignment you must study and
memorize
the countries at home. When you feel you know them, notify me and in class I
will give you a blank map of Europe and you will write the names down in my
presence.
4. Student will memorize and be able to identify the countries on the
continent of Africa. If you select this assignment you must study and
memorize the countries at home. When you feel you know them, notify me and
in class I will give you a blank map of Europe and you will write the names
down in my presence.
5. Student will memorize and be able to identify the countries on the
continent of Asia. If you select this assignment you must study and memorize
the countries at home. When you feel you know them, notify me and in class I
will give you a blank map of Asia and you will write the names down in my
presence.
