Mr. Glenn Clark has been working in education since 1974. He holds degrees
from Villanova University and William Paterson University.
Mr. Clark has been the principal of Dogwood Hill School since the 1999 - 2000
school year.
He lives in Bergen County with his wife and three children.
In addition to delivering the Oakland School District curriculum to the
students, every year the New Jersey Department of Education asks schools to
identify two additional school based goals which will be addressed.
These Thorough and Efficient (T&E) Goals for the 2009 - 2010 school year are:
Goal:
To enhance the students’ problem solving skills
Objective:
By June 2010, the students in Grade 3 will increase their problem solving skills by 3%, as measured
by a comparison of the scores on grade appropriate district, and/or teacher constructed, pre/post
assessments.
Possible Strategies:
• Identify key words and specific vocabulary.
• Utilize technology to research relevant websites.
• Promote the use of manipulatives.
• Provide opportunities for interdisciplinary problem solving.
• Visualize through the use of pictorials.
• Conduct professional development on problem solving strategies

Objective
By June, 2010, students in Grades 1 - 5 will be able to identify essential elements of good character
as measured by grade appropriate district, and/or teacher constructed, pre/post assessments.
