Spring CarnivalSpring Carnival
SPRING CARNIVAL THANK YOU The Executive Board of the OCPTA would like to thank the countless volunteers, parents and students who contributed their time and talents to make the Spring Carnival a phenomenal success. Due to your generous help, we raised over $3,300.00, which will directly affect the children of the Ocean City School District. Last year, the PTA funded over $25,000.00 in grants, awards and educational resources for the District, including all three schools. As you can see, the Carnival is a major part of that funding and without your help and commitment, we wouldn’t be able to reach those numbers. I would also like to specifically thank and include in the Carnival’s success the following people and organizations: Dr. Taylor, Dr. Walls and Mr. Haines for your ongoing support of the PTA and our efforts; your time and presence at our events are immeasurable. The teachers, faculty and staff at the OCPS for your support of the PTA, as well as the commitment and inspiration you show to your students on a daily basis. Mr. Ed and his crew at OCPS: Your time and help in putting the day together and then putting it all away again is appreciated more than you know. Thank you for all you do for us. The 115 OCHS and OCIS students who came out to run the games, all of whom I observed interacting with the children, encouraging them, and having fun doing it. The children look up to you and want to be just like you when they reach high school. I am proud of what a wonderful group of young people you are and grateful that they can learn from you as well what it means to be a community. Thank you for spending your Saturday with us. Chief Chad Callahan, Sgt. Dave Hall and the members of the Community Police Department who took time out of their day to transport many of the games to the Primary School. The support of the OCPD helps to make Ocean City not just a home, but a community. The staff at the Armory, who store and deliver games and supplies for us. Always willing to help at a moments notice and always with a smile. Thank you for your time. Doug Beckert, who provided us with yet another amazing new game, Mr. Bobblehead. Your talent and imagination know no bounds. Thank you for continually treating us to your creations. Mark Impaglizzao, Max Matthews and Mallory Martin: Thank you for your coverage of the event and aid in making the Carnival a success. Mr. Kuperstein, who volunteered his afternoon and truck to move all of our games back to storage.Thank you for making cleanup that much easier. A Bella Salon for providing the Nail Salon supplies. Thank you for your always kind support of the PTA. Lisa Klassman of Kidz Creations for getting Dora the Explorer to come visit us at the Carnival. Your generosity is appreciated. And last but most certainly not least, the children of the Ocean City Primary School. Individually and collectively, you make it a pleasure to put the Carnival on the calendar year after year. Thank you for coming to school on a Saturday! You guys Rock! Sarah McDowell 2012 Spring Carnival Chairperson |
