Complete the social studies essay begun today in class on the four events that
led Europeans to explore the world. Follow the RACES model:
- topic sentence taken from the prompt
- each "event" in a separate sentence followed by an elaboration (1-2 sentences)
- Use signal words or repeat the word "event"
- a sentence that sums up your essay and ties back into the topic sentence.
Due first thing tomorrow, Wednesday, November 25. You will not be given any
more classroom time.
Typed or written in blue or black pen. Staple the assignment to the back.
YOu will receive 2 grades on this: one for social studies (accurate, complete
content) and one in language arts for writing a well-developed, cogent response
following the RACES model.
