Dr Minerley began teaching science and mathematics way back in 1976 after
graduating from St Peter's College in Jersey City, earning a BS degree in
Physics. He attended several postgraduate colleges including New Jersey
Institute of Technology, Rutger's University, New Jersey City University,
Montclair State College, Boston University, Middlesex County College, and New York Chiropractic
College.
Over the years he has studied education, environmental science, architecture,
small building construction, real estate appraising, and Chiropractic
Medicine.
Beyond preparing students for success in High School, our mission in 8th
Grade Physical Science is:
To foster a lifelong interest in understanding the physical world around
us, and to begin gaining the knowledge to make our stewardship of the Earth
more productive and rewarding for ourselves and future generations.
To this end, we make use of both the Socratic Method and student-led, inquiry
based activities to help develop positive, confident, assertive learners.
