Welcome to "About the Teacher". My name is Mr. Moffitt. I have spent
14 proud
years instructing 4th and 5th grade students here in Scotch Plains, where I
also went to
school! I attended Coles Elementary, Brunner Elementary, Park Middle
School, and
the SP-F High School. I graduated in 1988 which makes me 39 years old.
I have had the privilege of serving the district as chess instructor for 5
years and
instructing students in the district's continuing education program. I have
taught
students in Keyboarding, Fly-tying, and International Board Games.
I have also been treasurer of the SPFEA and have earned my masters
degree
at Kean University.
I enjoy technology, reading Michael Crichton and HG Wells novels, learning
something new everyday,
computers, surf fishing, and drawing. I enjoy using E-mail for communication

This summer your teacher caught his first tuna and swordfish; 70 and 100
pounds- My
largest fish ever!
