          Get memoir and vocab test signed by parent

Tuesday 11/3/09
English:  Vocabulary test tomorrow (don't forget packet and index cards with
sentences); memoir drafts will be collected tomorrow - incorporate all
revisions for opening, closing and dialogue.
Reading:  Book talks continue
          You must have an independent reading book and a reading schedule in
your agenda book by Monday.

Monday 11/2/09
English:  Draft two more conclusions using different strategies; don't forget
 the conclusion dance (look to the future, touch back to the main idea, go to
the heart, end with a zinger)
         Bring in 8 index cards with sentences on them
         Vocab review tomorrow 
         Vocab test on Wed. (don't forget packets and index cards)
Reading:  You need a new free choice book by Wednesday
Thursday 10/29/09
English:  Choose a spot in your memoir to add dialogue
          Vocab index cards with a sentence for each word is due next Tuesday
          Vocab test will be next Wed.
Reading:  Prepare your book talk using the graphic organizer

English: Create a storyboard with at least 6 frames for your memoir

Wednesday 10/21/09
English:  Continue building the web for you moment with an important person in
your life.  After you've completed the web, tell the story.  All this should
be done in your WNB.
Reading:  Create an It Says, I Say and So chart in your Reading Journal and
make at least 3 inferences about the main character from your independent
reading book.

Tuesday 10/20/09
English:  Freewrite on two of the people from your Important People chart (at
least one page each in your WNB)

English:  Complete "Analyzing a Memoir" sheet for Crow Call.

English:  Revise memoir based upon writing group's comments; revisions should
be typed into draft; bring revised, typed draft to school on Wednesday; final
paper is due on Wed.
Reading:  Independent reading - make sure you are meeting your weekly reading
goals.  Books must be completed by 10/30.

English: Index Cards and Me Folder due tomorrow
         Type and revise This I Believe/Memoir
