I am writing to inform you about a new and exciting addition to the support services offered at Queen of Peace High School. Recently, we have added a Resource Room to our program. It is a fantastic opportunity for students who need academic assistance to make use of and get the help they need. Test taking, study skill building, intellectual focus, concentration, reviewing, even applying for PSAT and SAT accommodations are all the benefits of the new Resource Room. They are yours to use for support, aid and academic instruction.
Resource Room help will be offered specifically to students whose recommendations in the IEPs and ISPs call for supplemental instruction to the letter, based on the individual.
This type of guided instruction promotes positive results on tests scores and improves the way students learn across the board.
As the new Resource Room teacher, I plan to give students the opportunity to be successful here at Queen of Peace on an individual basis. Students are encouraged to come into the room during prep times, and/or for selected test taking situations, reviews, oral exams, etc.
