OVERDUE
Due Tuesday (10/27) Write an essay that relates an incident you recall about
someone from your past. [This does not have to be someone who died. It could
be a former teacher or friend, a relative whom you don't see often, or even
just a brief acquaintence] Include details about the person and the incident,
why you remember it and what it means to you. If you learned something from
the event, even better. To do a good job, I think, you should need at least
three paragraphs. This should be typed.
Due Wednesday(10/21) PARAGRAPH - To hand in..... What similarities did you
notice in the Langston Hughes poem (inside your "Raisin in the Sun" book, or
on page 566 of your textbook), the written play and the video version? [You
should write a good paragraph of at least seven sentences; you may write more
than one paragraph if necessary.
Overdue:
Read "The Gift of the Magi" and "The Necklace" in your textbook. Complete
the handout. Then, find two more stories by those authors and write a brief
report for them. (see the handout)
