Homework Policy

Computer projects are regularly assigned with a due date. If an
assignment is not submitted on time, it must be submitted by the
start of the next class and will incur a 20% penalty.
Assignments submitted after they have been returned to the rest
of the class will receive very little credit.
Even if the computer program contains some errors, it is
important to submit your best effort on time.

Visual BASIC 2008 Express Edition is available as a free download
from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/exPress/download/.
Students should install the software on their home computers.

The best practice is to start the computer homework at home the
same day that it is assigned, then if you encounter difficulty
you could consult with the teacher the following day, complete
the assignment and submit it on time.

Each student must submit an original, elaborate, impressive final
project at the end of the year which will be a considerable
portion of the fourth marking period grade.

unannounced. There are written midterm and final exams.

Grading Policy

All computer assignments which include quizzes, tests, reports,
and homework assignments have a numeric point value. The marking
period grade is computed by dividing the points you have earned
by the number of possible points. For example, a student who has
earned 140 out of a possible 160 points will have an 88 average.
