Requirements

CLASS OF 2013
 THE FIRST DAY OF REGULAR CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER I WILL EXPLAIN TO YOU THE 
REQUIREMENTS FOR MY CLASS. PLEASE DON'T BUY SUPPLIES FOR MY CLASS YET. THERE 
ARE SOME SPECIFIC ITEMS YOU WILL NEED. PARENTS I PROMISE TO KEEP THE COST OF 
MATERIALS AT A MANAGABLE PRICE.
Remember the Summer Reading. Tests will be given soon.
                      WESTERN CIVILIZATION & US History II
                          MR. KRISTA     2009-2010
Materials needed:
·Textbook/Atlas(bring to class everyday)-loose leaf paper(ample supply)
-Notebooks (2) (marbleized hard covered) -pens(blue or black ink)several
-Assignment pad		            -pencils (#2)several
-Pocket folder		            -coloring pencils(not crayons)
Homework:
·Written assignments on loose leaf paper(unless otherwise directed).
·Notes taken in class are to be reviewed daily. Rewritten if necessary.
·Read the chapter. This is the student’s responsibility.
·Students are not excused from assignments due to absences. All work 
 must be made up.
·Homework assignments will be posted on my web page.
·Homework counts towards your marking period grade (25%).
Tests and quizzes:
·Tests are given after each chapter is completed. The test is 
 announced ahead of time.
·Quizzes may be announced or unannounced. Be prepared.
·Tests count as 50% of your grade. Quizzes count as 25% of your grade.
Classroom expectations:
·Be prepared for class. Have all your materials with you.
·A learning environment is essential for success. Cooperate.
·Listen during lectures, discussions, and video presentations. Ask 
 relevant questions.
·Participate in group assignments.
Student and Parent/Guardian information:
·Assistance is available before school in the classroom(7:30-8:00)
·Quarterly Reports will be issued in the form of school Progress 
  Reports and Report Cards.

·Tests are to be signed by a parent/guardian. They will be collected 
 for exam review.
·Tests, quizzes, and homework assignments count toward the student’s
