Science is always fun in our class. Our first unit of study will be on plants and seeds. We will soon visit our science garden to see how the plants are changing as the fall arrives. We will be dissecting seeds, and watching seeds germinate.
The Great Plant Escape
Chloe's seeds are germinating in a plastic bag!
Later, we will learn about Rocks and Soils. Students will learn about the layers of the earth and the formation of rocks. Visit this site for all the information you need: Rocks for Kids.
National Geographic for Kids
In March we will begin our unit of study on ecosystems. Our first stop is the Arctic Tundra. Then it is on to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and New Mexico. Our last stop is the Amazing Amazon Rainforest! These sites will be useful in conducting our research.
