My teaching career began at Ridgeway Elementary School in September 1984.
This school is very special to me, since I was once a student at Ridgeway
School. I graduated from Manchester High School in 1980. I have a
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College and a
Master's Degree from Georgian Court College in Educational Administration. I
am currently in a post-graduate program at Kean University, so you can see
that I am a life-long learner! In 1998, I moved back to Manchester with my
husband, Dave, and my two daughters, Kendall and Casey. Kendall is a
freshman at Manchester High and Casey is in 6th grade at the Middle School.
This summer, our family grew. Our new addition is a Yorkshire Terrier
puppy. His name is King Elvis Presley Kiernan and he is so cute!!!
I love to have fun! Along with teaching, my favorite things to do are
spend time with my family and friends, go shopping, and read! I love to
listen to satellite radio, my favorite station being Channel 13, Elvis
radio. I am looking forward to meeting my new students!
In first and second grade, a child learns to read. In third grade a child
reads to learn!
My goal is for all students to learn in a fun way, to work hard, and become
model citizens.
