Who doesn't want to make an impact on the world? The students and staff at Ridgeway School do so in many different ways every day; but this school year, 4th graders are joining together to see how else we can make a lasting impact on our community, and our world. The Junior Impact Club is an extention of the High School's Interact Club. Through this club, we are preparing to become responsible and respectful citizens. Our goal is to reach out and help those in need, and inspire others to give and care about the community. I am extremely proud to be advising this club along with my friends and co-workers, Mrs. Kiernan and Miss Newton.
Our Very First Meeting!
Ridegeway's Very First Junior Impact Club!
Our club is sponsered by the Rotary Club. Every month we join them for a breakfast to report what events we have done and are planning to do. Our first breakfast of the school year was in October. Advisors Robyn Pilcher and Ginny Newton accompanied Jr. Impact President Jon M. and Vice President Nick C. to the breakfast. Principal Dr. Janette Lada also dined with us!
Our first trip to Manchester Manor was in October. A group of club members volunteered their free time after school to spend time with these local senior citizens. We did a craft and enjoyed cupcakes! Below you can see the pictures from this trip.Thank you, Manchester Manor for having us!
