NECESSITIES: You will need a notebook, a folder, pens and pencils,
Italian/English dictionary (a pocket dictionary), and hand sanitizer or hand
wipes.
GRADES: Distribution of Grades-
Tests - 25 %
Quizzes- 20%
Homework- 20%
Class Participation- 20%
Projects- 15%
TESTS and QUIZZES are generally announced. However, always be prepared for a
pop quiz after learning new material. Also, there will be a cumulative test
in January and a final test in June that will cover topics during the year.
A study guide will be given for each.
HOMEWORK is always announced in class and on my website: www.montville.net,
click on “World Languages, Miss D’Apolito, L’italiano”. You are responsible
to get any assignments missed in class. Please ask me or your class buddy
for the missed assignments. You will have the days you were absent to make
up your assignments. After that, there will be 10 points deducted from your
grade each day. Please be conscientious!!!
CLASS PARTICIPATION is a must both verbally and written. You must also be
prepared which means bring your textbook and notebook to class. You will also
be rewarded with stickers, “francobolli”, if you are prepared verbally.
Please keep the sheet of stickers in your folder, if lost, you will have to
start over again and you might fall behind.
PROJECTS are announced in class and will either be in groups or
individually. Please always follow directions and due dates and do your
share if you are in a group.
