6th Grade Period 7:
1. Choose project option I or II from clothing packet.
2. Work in groups of 2 or 3 with partners who wish to do the same project.
Option I - Desfile de moda. (Fashion Show)
Each person in the group will dress up, and each person will write sentences
on notecards describing their partners clothing. You must begin with and
opening, describe 5 clothing items, and end with a closing.
Examples:
Opening - (Buenos dias/noches). "Bienvenidos al desfile de modas de
Maria Y Rosa" (welcome to Maria & Rosa's fashion show). "Yo soy
Maria, y esta es Rosa." (I'm Maria and this is Rosa). Disfruten la
ropa/el programa(Enjoy the clothing/the show).
5 Clothing items - Write 2 sentences for each. Use adjectives to
describe the color, and appearance of the clothing. Use "cuesta," or
"cuestan" to talk about the price of each item. Refer back to your
currency worksheet for prices. Use "lleva" to say what the model is
wearing.
EX: "Rosa lleva una camisa roja. La camisa es bonita y cuesta $10
pesos."
Closing - (Adios, Buenas tardes/noches) Gracias por venir (thanks for
coming).
Option II - El centro comercial. (The Mall)
Decide which store will be the setting. You can sell clothing or school
supplies. "Customers" will enter the store and be greeted by the "manager."
Each customer must ask for 5 items using "Me gustaria un/una...," or
"?Tiene....?" The customer must describe each item while holding it up and
then ask "?Cuanto cuesta/cuestan..? The manager must answer with a price.
After the "purchases have been made, say goodbye and thank you and have a
nice day/night (Que tenga un buen dia/una buena noche).
*REMEMBER NOUNS ADJECTIVES AND ARTICLES MUST AGREE IN NUMBER AND IN GENDER!!
