Homework is issued every night in math and spelling. The spelling schedule
is as follows:
Monday - Use spelling words from the green notebook 1-5 in sentences
containing a minimum of 5 words. Underline the spelling word and practice
reading the sentences.
Tuesday - Use spelling words from the green notebook 6-10 in sentences
containing a minimum of 5 words.Underline the spelling word and practice
reading the sentences.
Wednesday - Put the 10 spelling words for the week in ABC order.
Thursday - Write each word for the week 2 times and study for a word and
sentence dictation test.
Friday - Write each mispelled test word 5 times and get the test signed and
returned on Monday.
If school is not in session any day(s), the assignment will be completed
according to the above schedule.
Children absent during the week will be responsible for the make-up test upon
their return to school, unless the absence is on a Monday, then the make-up
test will be given after the words are recorded in the spelling notebook.
