3-2 just loves to write, write, write!
This week we will be working on the writing traits: organization and ideas
Our writing this week will allow us to work on our organization skills. We
will be writing our own autobiographies. Since we are studying Ellen Ochoa
and reading her biography, we are going to creat one of our own. The students
will be asked to bring in pictures from home that remind them of past
memories. After sharing these pictures with the class, we will use a graphic
organizer to detail our time as a baby, famil, school days, favorite
memories, and what we see for our future. The students will then use this
information to write thier own "mini autobiography."
**At home**
Please help your child pick out pictures that would help them remember
important events that occured when they were young. Also, any photos that
spark fond memories. When the children are done writing and sharing their
autobiographies, I will make a book that each child will get a chance to take
home and share. This is a great way to get to know the class, and also see
the wonderful things that the children write about. I am looking forward to
seeing what they accomplish!!
