3-2 just loves to write, write, write!

This year we will be exploring the six traits or writing: word choice, 
organization, voice, sentence fluency, conventions, ideas, and our (+1) 
presentation.

This week we will be working on the trait(s): 
organization/conventions/ideas/sentence fluency/word choice

As you can see, this week we will be working on many of our traits. The 
reason being is that we will be preparing for the NJASK3. The students will 
be working on various writing prompts in their NJASK3 prep test booklets. 
Each day we will review the various skills that are needed and expected on 
the NJASK. The students will be answering both open ended responses which 
come after they read a story (similar to a cold read response). They also 
will be working on speculative and expository compositions- which are 
expected to be at least 3 paragraphs and require the students to use their 
imagination. The students have been working very hard on writing ALL year, so 
I am confident that they are going to produce fabulous work!
