Biography - Due 11/16/09
1. Choose a famous person to write about.
2. Find specific dates and events about that person. List them in the proper
box. *The children received a sheet with boxes. They are to put to put
notes and dates in these boxes.*
3. Write 3 paragraphs about this person. Remember to start the first
paragraph with information about when he or she was young. Your second
paragraph should contain young adult details. Your final paragraph
should tell about being an adult. *The children will use the information in
the boxes at the top of their worksheet to create the three paragraphs.
* When the writing is done, you will work on the cover. I have many
wonderful colors of construction paper to choose from in the classroom. You
can draw a picture on white construction paper, or copy the picture from the
book and glue it on the front, or print one from the computer.*
Social Studies Community Project - Due Thursday, 11/12/09
1. You will complete each sentence started in class. These sentences will
describe each community. You can find the answers in the social studies
textbook.
2. When you finish the sentences, draw a picture above the sentences that
shows what the community looks like.
*Remember that neatness counts! All work must be in color.
