Homework ia an essential part of the learning experience. It gives the child a chance to practice and use the concepts learned that day. The homework is posted on our chart daily. It is your child's responsibility to copy these assignments into the green homework tablet at the beginning of class. Please make sure to check and initial the tablet after the homework has been completed. If your child needs assistance with an assignment, first go over the directions and have him or her restate them to you. It is important that your child tries to do the homework himself or herself as I have the child explain the strategy for the answer as we check the work the next day. I always go over the work the next day to make sure the concept is understood and reteach if necessary. Therefore it is important to have the work completed on time. I try to leave weekends homework free for family time or make up missing assignments.
