100 Day Project

                    100 Days Hooray!!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are expecting to celebrate the 100th day of school on or about
February 17th. This date will change if there are any snow days prior to
that date.
As part of this learning experience the children will be required to
create a project with your help. Please collect and arrange 100 pieces of
one type of item that are to be mounted on oak tag paper or poster board.
Some suggestions from the past are as follows, but feel free to use your own
idea.

100 inches of yarn
100 holes from computer paper
100 bread tabs/ bottle caps/ stickers
100 cotton balls/ Q-tips/ buttons
100 pennies/ straws/ toothpicks/ candy pieces
100 marshmallows/ pretzels/ cereal (strung on a necklace)
100 happy faces cut out of a magazine
Write your favorite number/ letter 100 times

Please wait to send in the project until the day it is due. If a
student brings it in too early, most of the other projects tend to resemble
the first one. We are giving you over a month’s notice because we want the
children to be creative and proud of their projects. They will be displayed
for all of the school to see! No projects will be accepted after February
17th because the celebration will be over.

We are looking forward to seeing all of the wonderful projects and
thank you in advance for your cooperation.
