After a two and a half year leave, I rejoin second grade at Eisenhower
School as a mother of three adopted children, ages 11, 8, and 5. My previous
teaching experience includes grades 3 and 4 at Arleth and the UES, as well as
an ASI Reading teacher for grades 1-4. In 1999 I was honored as Teacher of
the Year. I bring enthusiasm and excitement to each lesson because I truly
love teaching children.
Come join us on our second grade safari as we learn through exploring,
questioning, and sharing. Walk into our room and you will see us busy at
centers, absorbed in hands-on activities, singing songs, and performing
skits. By the end of second grade, we will have gained confidence and skill
in reading, writing, and math. First and foremost, though, we are concerned
with treating each other with courtesy and respect.
