A homework sheet will be sent home every Friday. Attached will be the high
frequency words for the following week’s reading lesson. Please cut these
apart and keep them at home in a Ziploc bag. Your child should practice
reading these words as part of his/her daily homework and eventually be able
to read these words independently.
It is also a great idea to read with your child for at least 15 minutes each
day, in addition to any other homework. A good time for this is right
before bed.
Please make sure that all homework is completed each night. It should be done
neatly and handed in on time, as the homework reinforces the skills being
taught in class. If for some reason homework cannot be completed on time,
please send me a note. Unexcused, late or missing assignments will affect
your child's grade.
