Week of May 14, 2012
This week we will begin lesson 16 in reading. Our test will be Friday, May 18th. In spelling we will begin
lesson 18 and our test will also be on Friday. The children should continue to study their math facts
every night as well as read daily for 15-20 minutes. In math, we will begin long division with
remainders. This is a hard skill at first, so please help your children with their math homework every
night.

Also, please visit the site www.studyisland.com and practice reading, math and writing skills with your
child. I did send home usernames and passwords to all students. This is great practice to keep the
children's minds thinking. Another great site is Xtra Math. I also sent the login information
for this site during the week of conferences.
