2009 - 2010 "GOING GREEN" Going Green is our TAG theme this year. Our kick off is a voice thread response to Mother Earth from the book, Dear Children of the Earth by Schim Schimmel. We are going to learn how to do a powerpoint presentation and show ways to protect, help and care for our planet. Then, we will develop personal and community endeavors to accomplish this mission. LIGHTBULB PROJECT Lightbulb projects are for new students, only. However, past students may opt to do an extra one for fun. The project can be made using any type of material. This project demonstrates creativity. It shows how a child can use his or her imagination. Many examples were shown in class and past students shared their ideas. Students must fill out the accompanying lightbulb project paperwork and submit their answers with their project. They will read their answers to the class on the due dates. First, we tell what we love about the project. Then, we discuss if there is anything that can be done to make it better. A certificate of completion is awarded and everyone applauds. Due dates: Arleth - 10/26/09 Eisenhower - 10/28/09 Truman - 10/29/09 Wilson - 10/27/09 Lightbulb Project Questions 1. How did you get your Idea? 2. What materials did you use? 3. Did you have help? If yes, what kind? 4. What was the easiest part? 5. What was the hardest part? 6. What was the best part?
